WW II AFRICAN AMERICAN NAVY DRAFTEES/RECRUITS 1943
This is a b&w photo of a group of African American navy trainees at the U.S. Naval Training Station - Great Lakes, IL. It is entitled
"CO 1731 F. M. ZELENCIK -C.S.P. , CO COMDR - DEC 15, 1943 - U.S. NAVAL TRAINING STATION - GREAT LAKES, ILL"
These sailors had obviously completed their training and were being readied for combat during WWII.
Although there are several cracks and a tear, these do not seem to interfere with the images... I would rate the photo as "good condition".... photo is 8"x20"....
