Black and White Poster of the three greats of jazz ..size is 17.5"x23"..regular price is $22.95..jazz legends, Sarah Vaughn, known affectinately as "Sassy";Billy Eckstine,"Mr. B" and Dizzy Gillespie, the "Diz", before the trademark horn, ...poster is new but scene is actually from the 1940's..Captioned on bottom "Sassy, Mr. B, Diz"...this is a great and nostalgic image from the swingin' 40's.. This image was printed from the original Morgan Photograph. Morgan was the original purchaser of the Charles "Teenie" Harris photo negatives collection which, were the subject of a legal action to be returned to the children of Teenie Harris. The negatives have since been returned to the children according to a recent PBS presented documentary on Teenie Harris. Teenie Harris, though now deceased, is now acclaimed as a Photographer of great prominence and in the class of such other great African American Photographers as Van Der Zee, Scurlock and others who documented early African American life. Teenie's photo depictions of early African American Life in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania adorn museums and galleries and are regarded as treasures. This Poster is among those images to be regarded as a treasure from the Teenie Harris collection.
