CAB CALLOWAY

According to the previous owner this photo was an "incredible find" and further that he "purchased a scrapbook at an estate sale which contained pictures and brochures from the Vaudeville era. The pictures ....belonged to a couple by name of Jack and Katherine Wade, who themselves were performers in the 1920's and 1930's. Most of the sepia-tone photos are signed to them. During their travels, they met many future stars of film and music. This is a 3 1/2 by 5 1/2 photo of Cab Calloway. On the back it is signed, 'To Wade and Wade you are the greatest Cab Calloway' Cab Calloway's address at the time........is also written on the back in pencil."

There is a piece of celophane tape that has been attached to the right front side and extends from the bottom right side of the photo extending up to about 1/3 of the way. It has not been removed in order to preserve the photo; however photo is in good condition .
